The underlying dataset combines research works with bibliographic metadata and technologies in the form of a graph which can be explored further. Click on the images below for high-resolution PDFs. Note that each work is assigned a unique permanent identifier.
Nature: Principal nature of the contribution.
Fields: Related scientific directions.
Technologies: Any implemented technology (FaaS engines, frameworks, tooling, adapters...) with emphasis on Kubernetes. See below for a more sophisticated graph with highlighting of open source technologies.
Countries: Association between research works and countries home to the respective author institutions.
Institutions: Association between research works and author institutions. (Some names have been unified, others still differ due to different names appearing in the papers.)
Authors: All individual authors, and highlighting of strong correlations between works (e.g. preprints, shortened magazine articles, extended journal articles).
Technologies and Authors: All individual authors, with their links to contributed or used technologies. extended journal articles).
The site kubernetes.research-output.org provides an overview about how researchers cover the field of Kubernetes, as well as related technologies. Please use the following citations:

The research-output.org framework can also be used for other research communities or groups/labs. A generic version is planned to be released.
The site is maintained by the Service Prototyping Lab at Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. It is based on the (not yet citable) Kubernetes Literature Dataset (Git repository).
